Twice Baked Lovely

This morning I made some tasty little biscottis from Cleo Coyle’s Latte Trouble. These twice baked cookies pair well with so many different coffees due to their sweet vanilla like flavor. Not to mention the sweet aroma they release while baking is a reason alone to try them.

I had the recipe listed on this post earlier in the year and had just now realized that I was violating copy right laws (oops) and had removed it. If you’d like to make these biscottis (which I highly recommend) I sugest purchasing the book. Its a real fantastic read too.

This morning I found myself wanting something to dip my beloved biscottis in but I had to say no to the coffee. I’m almost out of my Sumatra and I need to learn to limit myself. I know, shocking. So I came up with this caffeine free treat and found it to be delightful.

Chocolate Caramel Crème:

  • 1 cup milk (I used 1% but you may use whatever you please)
  • ½ tbsp. Caramel syrup
  • ½ tbsp. Chocolate syrup
  • 5-6 ice cubes

Pour the syrups into a tall, clear glass (I prefer the clear glass because it just looks pretty :]). Next pour in your milk. Stir to combine the liquids. Now add your ice cubes and drink away. This non coffee drink tastes wonderful with my above posted biscotti recipe.
